Live Tracking

Currently there are two methods to track the scooter’s progress across the country.

1.) Outer Space

Connection Reliability: ★★★★★
Update Frequency: ★★★
Data Quality: ★★

Mounted on the handlebars of the scooter, a Garmin Montana 700i relays its position back up to satellites in two minute intervals. This method will allow you to track progress when cellular networks are unavailable.

The additional benefit of this system is that you can send me messages along the route and they will populate on my screens! (May take a bit for me to respond, of course)

2.) Cellular Tracking

Connection Reliability: ★★
Update Frequency: ★★★★★
Data Quality: ★★★★

Also mounted on the handlebars, a smartphone is enabled with a GPS tracking app that relays extremely granular location updates to a server in Minneapolis, MN.
